Key Account Manager


Solarge is a start-up solar panel manufacturing company, developing and producing innovative polymer-based solar panels. Unique selling points of the technology are low weight, low material use, a low CO2 footprint, full  recyclability and absence of PFAS materials.
 
Solarge currently has a team of 11 employees. Mid 2022 Solarge will move to its production site in Weert, where the team will quickly grow in order to prepare for commercial operations, starting in January 2023. Solarge is currently looking for a Key Account Manager to strengthen the team.
 
Solarge plans to make a start in the Dutch market and grow internationally in the years to come.
In the Dutch market the PV modules will be sold directly to project developers, EPC’s and installers. Internationally Solarge will work via distribution partners.
Also additional production sites are planned abroad, either by Solarge or by licensing partners or contract manufacturing partners.
 
Your role is to take full ownership for these accounts and develop a business relationship that is successful for both Solarge and its customers.
The current plan is to develop a sound mix of large and smaller accounts. Large accounts provide the volume that enables high volume production and consequently relatively high efficiency in the production due to scaling affects; smaller accounts offer opportunities for higher margin applications.
 
You share our passion for our goals, our solutions and our technology roadmap. You communicate clearly, both to the outside world as well as to the own organisation.
You sell only what the organisation tells you it can deliver.
 
You translate the requirements from the customers to manageable requests to the internal organisation. The other way around, you help defining sales conditions that enable a profitable operation within the Solarge organisation.
Next to developing new accounts in the Netherlands and abroad you will take responsibility for developing new product market combinations, including organizing demonstration and pilot projects.
You will report to the CCO.
