Europe needs a strong domestic solar industry. And that is what we are working towards.
Solarge is featured in *Het Financieele Dagblad* today, following recent comments by European Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra on the future of the European solar industry.
His message is clear: Europe must reduce its dependence on cheap Chinese solar panels and rebuild its own production capacity.
At Solarge, we couldn’t agree more.
From our factory in the Netherlands, we are developing a European alternative: ultra-light, fully circular solar panels, free from harmful substances such as PFAS and antimony, and produced with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
But this is about more than just solar panels.
This is about European innovation, strategic independence and resilience. It is about strengthening our own industry and ensuring that the technologies essential to our energy transition are also produced here in Europe.
The debate is getting underway. We’re already building the alternative.
Made in Europe. Built for Europe’s energy future.
