The Solarge SOLO 26 is listed in the National Environmental Database (NMD) as a Category 1 environmental declaration, with an MKI A2 of €35.37 per module. This makes it the only solar panel in the NMD with an MKI A2 below €40.
The Environmental Cost Indicator (MKI) expresses the calculated environmental impact of a product as a monetary value. It is therefore not a retail price. The score of €35.37 has been calculated on the basis of a 25-year lifespan. The Environmental data for the SOLO 26 have been drawn up specifically for our product and independently verified.
Why this score is important right now
Since 1 July 2026, architects and consultants have been using a new method to calculate the environmental performance of new buildings: Set A2. It takes into account 19 types of environmental impacts, whereas the previous method considered 11. The way in which these impacts are weighted has also changed. As a result, construction teams need up-to-date A2 data for the products they intend to use.
The SOLO 26 has been designed with the entire life cycle in mind. The panel is lightweight, has a glass-free construction and is manufactured in the Netherlands. It is produced without PFAS or antimony. Thanks to our Circulayer™ design, materials can be separated and recycled at the end of their life. We also work with recycling partners to recover and reuse materials.
What does this mean for your project?
The NMD registration makes it possible to incorporate the environmental data from SOLO 26 into MPG and MKI calculations. This enables architects, consultants and clients to substantiate the panel’s environmental impact when making design choices and in tendering processes where sustainability is a factor.
