This means that the different layers of the panel can be separated at the end of its life through a heating step, resulting in clean material streams. Why use heavy traditional materials when you can do it smarter? The Solarge SOLO eliminates heavy glass and aluminium. Instead, the panel is composed of high-quality fibre-reinforced polymers in a unique honeycomb structure. This drastically reduces weight without compromising mechanical strength. Even better: the SOLO is unbreakable, fully certified and easily withstands severe hail impacts. Moreover, with its universal fit, the panel is compatible with all conventional mounting systems.

What happens to the panels at the end of their lifetime?

Solarge takes full responsibility with a hard take-back guarantee. Your old panel is not landfilled or incinerated, but separated into pure material streams so that we can turn them into new solar panels.

How safe is the SOLO in case of fire?

SOLO panels meet stringent safety requirements and have a Class C fire rating.

Will the SOLO fit my current or planned mounting system?

Yes, despite its innovative design, the SOLO has a universal fit (dimensions: 2335 mm x 1159 mm) and is fully compatible with conventional mounting systems. For specific advice on the best mounting solution for your project, contact sales@solarge.com.

Is the panel suitable for any type of roof?

Yes, and especially for roofs with limited load-bearing capacity. Because the SOLO has no heavy solar glass, the panel weighs only 14.5 kg (5.5 kg/m²) in total. This is about 50% lighter than a conventional glass panel.

Exactly how big is the CO₂ savings compared to regular panels?

The SOLO has an extremely low certified footprint of around 390 kg CO₂-eq./kWp. For standard glass panels, this is around 1,000 kg CO₂-eq./kWp on average. Local production and innovative materials thus reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 60%.
