About Solarge

Solarge is on a mission towards a more sustainable future. The brand new factory in Weert was festively opened on May 22, 2023. Solarge solar panels are more than just a source of solar energy. They have a circular design which ensures that at the 'end of life' the solar panels can be completely separated and reused to make new solar panels. In addition, no glass or aluminum are used in our solar panels, which drastically reduces CO2 emissions during production. The panels have been developed in close collaboration with Sabic. In the future we see the opportunity to establish similar factories abroad.

The current challenge for Solarge is to scale up a pilot plant to volume production. We must ensure that the machines run stably and the number of panels that are rejected is below one per hundred. 90 percent of the cost price of the product consists of material costs, so quality first, and then speed!

With current production, a panel can roll off the line every 90 seconds, and with a factory at full speed that will increase to every 30 seconds. Ultimately, 800,000 panels are made per year, which is good for 200 megawatts of sustainable energy.
